Entry from: Berlin, Germany Entry Title: “Museums and Music” Entry: “Our first full day in Berlin and our first real day of sightseeing. We decided to start our exploration of Berlin by using the ‘see Berlin in one day’ tour from our guidebook. This advised us to head to Mitte, one of the regions of Berlin and have breakfast at one of the many cafes there. We had already breakfasted on the provisions we purchased last night from Lidl so we were just in search of a hot drink once we arrived in Mitte. There was a reasonable amount of choice but we settled on Starbucks in the hopes of finding WiFi. Hot drinks in hand we found a table and were able to access a wireless hotspot which allowed me to get the last three days of Blogs up (5th, 6th and 7th). Go Germany for video game museum

Germany’s capital, Berlin, is well-stocked with art galleries and historical museums. But now there’s a light-hearted alternative for museum lovers. Gamers of all ages can go to the newly-opened Computergames Museum for an overview of the video game industry. And then you have the children, for them it is a history lesson. They play games here that they did not know before and they say: ‘OK that is the great-grandfather of the games I like to play.’” Not to be confused with “PlayStation”, the most popular game on display is called “Painstation”. It is based on the classic Pong game, but provides a painful sting in the tail from two small rubber whips each time the player lets a ball slip past the paddle. Ruben Brundell, museum visitor, said, “I think it’s great. It is cool that you can actually play lots of games. And it is also nice that it is made in chronological order so it’s real
